“Godzilla fans around the world were treated to the debut of a Godzilla Minus Zero First Look Teaser today, premiering on both the Japanese and English Godzilla YouTube channels. The teaser included a few familiar faces and new information about the November theatrical release.
The first look at the film highlights that Godzilla Minus Zero picks up in 1949, two years after the tumultuous events of Godzilla Minus One, and continues the story of the Shikishima family as they face an all-new calamity. In the teaser, fans can spot Ryunosuke Kamiki as Koichi Shikishima, the hero who faced Godzilla’s terror in Godzilla Minus One, and Minami Hamabe as Noriko Oishi, who miraculously survived Godzilla’s first attack on Tokyo.
As part of the teaser’s debut, Godzilla Minus Zero has been announced as Filmed For IMAX®, the first for a Japanese production. Shot with high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX, and optimized in sound and imagery unique to IMAX screens, fans can look forward to seeing Godzilla presented to all new terrifying heights.
